Introduction
Welcome to the only TFL approved fanlisting for Numb3rs. Numb3rs is currently in it's sixth season. They recently cut the order down to 16 episodes for this season which is seen by many as a sign that it will be the last season. I hope not, I love this show so much. I don't know if I can define why I love this show so much but I think it might be the realism. There are no crazy events that happen to the characters personally, what happens is believable. The way the characters have grown and matured over the seasons is also very believable. The core relationship on this show between Charlie and Amita had it's will they won't they moments but they didn't break them up for stupid reasons. Once they were together, they were together and they dealt with problems as a couple. I love that. Then there's the main point of the show which is the FBI cases that Charlie consults on. I love how they do that, it would be so easy to make it incomprehensible but they don't. Charlie does his analogies and they show them on the screen which makes it understandable. Some critics say that Charlie does all the work and the FBI agents are idiots that just arrest the suspects but it's not like that at all. They do important investigative work too, Charlie couldn't do what he does if they didn't give him the data. It's a team, a partnership and one that just feels so real.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Colby being a triple agent. They handled that well, with the characters reacting in different ways to his 'betrayal' and then it wasn't instantly all right again afterwards. Tony Scott did an amazing job of directing the season four premiere which dealt with that. I suppose after Charlie, Don is the next main character. He leads the FBI team. I love Don but sometimes his actions annoy me. I think that he and Liz were good together, I loved their relationship, but he broke up with her. Still they're both still on the show so there's hope. I haven't mentioned Alan, the ever patient father of the Eppes brothers. He's always a voice of calm and reason but they haven't just made him the wise man who says the right thing to make the heroes do what they need. He has his own issues, never really getting over his wifes death for example. Then there's Larry, who again gives Charlie advise but also has his own role. He had a relationship with Megan before she left the show, he went into space, he's his own character. Again, I think it comes back to the realism of this show. I really feel like they could be real people, it's all so natural, nothing is larger than life. I love it, I really do. I could talk for hours about this show, about everything I like, the different characters, their interactions with one another, their relationships etc. but I won't.
